About me…
Where to start? Well, first off as a fairly extreme introvert who tends to avoid sharing anything personal on social media, you can pretty much assume that I never in a million years would have thought about writing a blog let alone a blog encouraging others to develop their relationship with God… However, the only thing that I can attribute this to is how the Lord took ahold of this ordinary person’s life and convicted me to step out of my comfort zone (with piles of imperfections, flaws, and all)...
I am trusting that He will help lead me, take my shortcomings, and use it as a testimony and encouragement to show others that if you let Him, He can take anything you went through and use it for something bigger. I pray as I dare to take this journey, that you will grant me the grace to “wing it” and learn along with you all as I go. AMEN.
Oh and I suppose you might be wondering about my blog name and what that is about… Well, part of my story is that I didn’t really grow up with a strong or personal relationship with God… At best, I viewed Him as a far-off disciplinarian who was waiting to drop an anvil on my head à la “Loony Tunes.” However, as I have begun to study the Bible and the viewpoints of others regarding God, I have learned that is not the case. In fact, not only does God want us to have a personal relationship with Him, He can be our closest Friend. However, it does require us to open ourselves up to HIm and develop that relationship… Since no relationship can flourish if you don’t spend time with that individual…
I know we are all busy and life can get away from us but the one thing we all have time to do on a daily basis is 💩… So, why not at the very least pray when you poop? That way, you can at least ensure a good several minutes of prayer between doing your business and washing your hands. Also, I think it is also important to realize that we don’t have to make an appointment or have “formal” God time (not that any of that is bad) but that none of us should feel intimidated by God or that He doesn’t understand what we go through. So what does it hurt? The next time you find yourself on the toilet, why not enjoy a little one on one time with the one who made you and all creation (including whatever is being created when you are in the bathroom)? 🤣
